About KBV

Keeler’s Bay Variety Store has the welcoming feel of a country store, but with more robust offerings. More than a grocery store, KBV has its own bakery and deli, a meat department and instore butcher, a Citgo gas station, a Vermont State liquor store, and an ATM, in addition to a full line of groceries and various sundries.

A Family Affair

Owned by Mark and Gail Horne and daughter Wendy Horne, KBV has been a family operated business since 1974. The store has become a South Hero, Vermont fixture offering Lake Champlain Islands residents and visitors a full shopping experience.

Business of the Year in 2017

In recognition of their renowned customer service, involvement in the community, and contributions to local nonprofits, Keeler’s Bay Variety Store was named Business of the Year by the Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation in 2017.
